On Sunday, September 14th, following the worship service, a special, brief Congregational Business Meeting will be held to vote on the licensing of Angela Finet to ministry, which is required by the District as the next step in the denomination’s licensing process.
Angela has been a member of Oakton since 2005, and is in her senior year of seminary. Angela has been a frequent guest speaker at Oakton. She has served an internship at Arlington Church of the Brethren, and has been a national voice for our church’s On Earth Peace witness.
Licensing provides an opportunity for pastoral candidates to explore their calling and ministry to others as they continue their study.
